Microgreens

Rb's been brewing up a batch of microgreens on the porch. All I know about them is that half the tray is a 'spicy mix' and the other half is a 'mild mix'.

Today, my curiosity got the better of me.

These babies (literally) have been cooking for almost 3 days.
No sprouts yet... :/

  1. FWIW, I inspected the micros last night and found the soil to be quite dry. I wet down the paper towel again, then realized that the towel did not sufficiently transmit the water below. I lifted the towel, drenched the entire bed until it was taking a second for the water to disappear, then soaked the towel further, pressed it down, and changed the lid setup. Initially I had set the rubbermaid lid on top, but I expect it wasn't holding moisture/heat quite as well. Hopefully the second tray on top ought to function as a better terrarium.

So yeah, when the microgreens book says to reallllllllllly drench the bed the first time, they ain't kidding. We'll see if I botched it entirely.
